Interconnection of ADCO/TRANSCO Power Net-works
Project was developed on basis of the following:
- Increase security of power evacuation from Shuweihat Power Plant (1500 MW)
- Provide a bulk infeed point to the Western Region of Abu Dhabi
- Provide strong interconnection at 220 kV level for ADCO (Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations) at their oil fields in Bab, Bu Hasa & Asab

- 1x220/33 kV SS (2 sections, 7 bays, 4x140 MVA transformers, 33 kV GIS, 20 bays)
- 1x220/132 kV SS (2 sections, 9 bays, 2x200 MVA transformers, 132 kV GIS, 14 bays)
- 1x145 km 400 kV double circuit OHL
- several 220 kV double circuit OHL, total length 150 km
