Athens Metro, Line 3 Extension, Pireos Forestation
Attiko Metro is currently expanding the Metro Line 3 from the existing Station Egaleo towards the City of Pireos, with the terminal station located in he city centre.
The approx. 450 m long forestation is located immediately behind the terminal station and includes a 220 m long TBM tunnel as well as a 200 m long triple-track NATM tunnel. Additionally, there are two shafts up to 35 m deep.
Structures are located within densely built-up areas, with the tunnels passing under 7-storey buildings.
