Rehabilitation of the Control System and Electrical Systems of Khartoum North Power Plant, Sudan

The oil-fired Khartoum North Power Plant will comprise 6 units (2 x 30 MW, 2 x 60 MW and new extension: 2 x 100 MW). For the existing units the power plant control system, the instrumentation and the electrical station service power supply as well as parts of the mechanical system will be modernized. Lahmeyer International was entrusted with consulting and engineering services at all stages of this project. This covers the design, preparation of the tender documents, bid evaluation and assistance in contract negotiations, design review and factory acceptance tests and the supervision for erection and commissioning at site. Recently the erection of major parts of the mechanical and electrical systems was finalized and the commissioning of the station service power supply started.
