Turceni Thermal Power Plant, Units 3 to 6
With an installed capacity of 2310 MWe TPP Turceni is the largest power plant in Romania. The owner, S.C. Complexul Energetic Turceni S.A., determined to reduce the SO2 emission in order to follow the current environmental requirement. Units 3 – 6 of the TPP Turceni will be equipped with wet flue gas desulphurisation systems, which come into operation till 2010. With this measure the reduction of the SO2 in the flue gas of more than 95% is calculated. In cooperation with a Japanese consultancy company Lahmeyer International conducts the consulting services from the design works to the final taking over.
